Sometimes this light will get stuck on in the event of an application crash. While you have the video feed up, it's also a good time to grab the move controller and see if the frame encompasses enough of your intended interaction area with the controller.
You should see messages about any attached cameras getting opened in the log window. If that worked the first time, please take a moment to celebrate your good fortune.
